Wesley Lazarus

Wesley Lazarus has a varied work experience spanning over several years. Wesley currently holds the position of Head of Finance Business Partnering at First Community Health and Care since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Henkel as a Senior Business Controller from August 2021 to February 2023, where they were responsible for monthly reporting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Before that, Wesley worked at Sasol, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis from January 2019 to July 2021, Senior P&O Financial Analyst from October 2016 to December 2018, Manager: Finance from November 2011 to September 2016, Assistant Manager Finance from January 2010 to October 2011, Accountant from June 2009 to December 2009, and Trainee Accountant from January 2007 to May 2009.

Wesley Lazarus completed their education at several institutions. Prior to 2010, they attended the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and pursued a qualification in CA (SA). In 2009 and 2010, they studied at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, earning a degree in ACMA / CGMA. From 2002 to 2006, Wesley Lazarus attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree with a focus on Accounting. Their secondary education took place from 1997 to 2001 at Heather Secondary School.

In addition to their formal education, Wesley Lazarus has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the CGMA Digital Mindset certification from AICPA. In 2020, they acquired certifications in Risk & IT Management from Skillsoft, CGMA Digital Mindset: Blockchain: Benefits, Values, and Opportunities from AICPA, CGMA Digital Mindset: Understanding Robotic Process Automation from AICPA, and Essential Career Skills for Investment Banking and Finance from the New York Institute of Finance through edX.
