Heather Volosin

Heather Volosin has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the field of internal auditing and financial analysis. Heather is currently serving as the Head of Internal Audit at First Electronic Bank since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Sunwest Bank as the Director of Internal Audit from July 2020 onwards, where they held overall responsibility for the Internal Audit function and led various initiatives related to risk assessment, audit execution, and staff development.

From July 2018 to July 2020, Heather worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Celtic Bank. During their time there, they contributed to the effective execution of audits and reviews in accordance with established standards and protocols.

Before joining Celtic Bank, Heather gained valuable experience at Zions Bancorporation from May 2013 to July 2018. Heather first served as a Consumer Credit Examiner, where they identified credit and operational risks, analyzed financial data, and prepared examination reports. Heather was then promoted to the role of Business Analyst, where they reviewed and evaluated business processes, participated in system analysis and design, and coordinated with stakeholders to fulfill user requirements.

Heather's experience in both internal auditing and business analysis has equipped their with a comprehensive skillset in risk assessment, financial analysis, project management, and stakeholder communication.

Heather Volosin, CIA, completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Finance from Ashford University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Following their undergraduate education, Heather obtained several certifications including the Financial Services Audit Certificate, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Internal Audit Practitioner from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. These certifications were obtained in July 2020 and May 2021. Additionally, Heather has participated in the Business Analyst Boot Camp from ASPE, Inc. and completed the Project Management program at the International Institute for Learning. Heather also completed the Zions Bancorporation Credit Foundations Program, although the specific dates of completion for these programs are not provided.
