Mark Matheson

Mark Matheson has a strong background in legal affairs and leadership roles. Mark is currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer at First Electronic Bank since June 2021. Previously, they worked at Renovate America as the Chief Legal Officer from December 2019 to May 2021. Prior to that, Mark held the position of Head of Correspondent Lending/Associate General Counsel at Axos Bank from July 2016 to December 2019. Mark also has experience as an Associate General Counsel at Enova International from January 2012 to July 2016 and as an Assistant General Counsel at Cash America from January 2009 to December 2011. Before transitioning into the corporate sector, Mark worked as a General Counsel at Debit Plus, LLC from January 2006 to December 2008. Mark began their legal career as a Litigation Attorney at Newmeyer & Dillion from February 2001 to December 2005.

Mark Matheson completed their high school education at Monterey Bay Academy from 1984 to 1988. Mark then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities at Pepperdine University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they attended the University of San Diego School of Law from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree specializing in Law.
