Karen Solano Ulloa

Karen Solano Ulloa has a diverse work experience in the field of business analysis and consulting. Karen started their career at Tecnomática Internacional S.A and Grupo Asesor en Informática S.A as a Consultant in 2010. In this role, they were involved in various information technology projects, including process studies, requirements analysis, quality control, project formulation, project management, and the implementation of project management methodologies and tools. Karen gained expertise in methodological frameworks such as ITIL, Scrum, and PMI.

From 2010 to 2020, Karen worked as an Information Technology Business Analyst at the same company. During this time, they successfully completed complex projects for prominent companies in the corporate sector such as BATCCA, Poder Judicial of Costa Rica, Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social, Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad, Ministerio de Trabajo de Costa Rica, and Instituto Nacional de Seguros de Costa Rica. Karen'sresponsibilities included requirements management, testing, and regular communication with business users and stakeholders to provide progress updates.

In 2021, Karen joined AgileThought as a Senior Information Technology Business Analyst. Karen continued to excel in managing requirements as Agile stories and acceptance criteria using Jira. Karen played a crucial role in defining sprint goals and releases, as well as maintaining regular communication with stakeholders.

Currently, Karen is working at First Factory as a Business Analyst, starting in April 2022. Karen is responsible for creating and managing requirements as Agile stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps. Karen also defines the goals of sprints and releases and regularly communicates with business users and stakeholders to provide feedback on implementation progress.

Karen Solano Ulloa has a diverse education history. Karen first attended Universidad Latina de Costa Rica from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Karen then pursued further education at the same university from 2009 to 2010, acquiring a Licenciatura in Information Technologies for Business Management.

Later, from 2015 to 2018, Karen enrolled in Universidad Fidélitas, where they completed a Master's degree in Information Technology Management.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Karen has obtained several certifications from CertiProf. These include the Kanban Essentials Professional Certificate (KEPC), earned in February 2022; the Design Thinking Professional Certificate, obtained in November 2021; the Scrum Product Owner Professional Certificate (SPOPC), acquired in June 2020; the Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate, earned in May 2020; the Scrum Master Professional Certificate, also obtained in May 2020; and the Scrum Master Professional Certificate (SMPC®).
