Matthew Blunt has a diverse work experience history. Matthew is currently working as the Fintech Legal & Compliance Director at First Fed since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Aliya Financial Technologies from February 2019 to April 2022, holding various roles in strategy, legal, and operations. From 2016 to 2018, Matthew worked with H4 Consulting, Information and Privacy Commission, Audit Office of NSW, Startup Consulting, where they gained experience in management consulting, government integrity institutions, and startups. Matthew also worked at DLA Piper as a Corporate Lawyer, Solicitor, Secondee, Graduate / Solicitor, Paralegal, and Seasonal Clerk between 2011 and 2016. Matthew has also completed internships and volunteer roles at organizations such as Reconciliation Australia, Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services of the ACT, and Consumer Law Centre.
Matthew Blunt completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (1st Class Hons) and a Bachelor of Economics (B Ec.) at The Australian National University from 2007 to 2013 and 2008 to 2013, respectively. Matthew also obtained a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The Australian National University in 2013. Prior to their university education, Matthew attended Mackillop Catholic College from 2001 to 2006. In addition to their degrees, Matthew has obtained certifications such as FCRA Certificate Program for Data Users, Accredited Cannabis Banking Professional, AgilePM Foundation, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
