Chris Hagedorn, CFA has extensive experience in the field of investment management. Chris started their career as a Portfolio Manager Assistant at Fifth Third Bank in 2000. Later, they worked as a Financial Advisor Assistant at American Express Financial Advisors in 2001.

In 2002, Chris joined Fifth Third Asset Management as an Associate Portfolio Manager, where they contributed to the management of various mutual funds and participated in client reviews and media appearances. Chris was later promoted to the role of Portfolio Manager, Assistant Vice President, where they managed a Morningstar-rated dividend growth mutual fund and high yield equity strategies.

In 2009, Chris moved to Hilliard Lyons as a Portfolio Manager and Vice President, working on the growth and income team. Chris oversaw financial, energy, and material sector coverage and conducted macro-related work.

In 2011, Chris joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and Investment Strategist, where they played a key role in developing and implementing investment strategies for high net worth investors. Chris also assisted in prospecting new business and marketing the investment strategies.

Currently, Chris serves as the Chief Investment Officer at First Financial Bank, starting in 2021. In this role, they are responsible for managerial oversight of the portfolio management team and provides thought leadership on investment management, strategy implementation, and market insights. Chris also engages in marketing activities, including economic and market presentations, market commentary, client investment reviews, and overall business introductions to the firm.
