Alicia Chandler

Alicia Chandler is the Chief Counsel at First Franchise Capital Corporation. Alicia has 11 years and 5 months of experience with Oak Street Funding and First Franchise Capital. Alicia has developed a strong knowledge of retail insurance agents (both captive and independent), managing general agents, general agents, wholesalers, program administrators, reinsurers and carriers, RIAs, IARs, CPAs and the franchise industry. Alicia is also experienced in negotiating loans (loan size from $1 million to $30 million) with customers and counsel, conducting due diligence in conjunction with underwriting team, and drafting and revising loan documents. Additionally, they have developed extensive knowledge regarding acquisition loans, roll-up strategies, succession and recapitalization loans, lines of credit and working capital loans.

Alicia assists the underwriting department with the due diligence process, lending guidelines and appropriate documentation. Alicia also advises the marketing department on new advertising materials, including electronic and print (quarterly Bridge publication) media, email campaigns, and webinars. Furthermore, they work with the compliance team to monitor nationwide business and insurance licensing. Alicia also leads the collections team to handle defaulted loans, work with defaulting borrowers to bring loans into compliance and collect loan balances, file legal actions.

In addition to all of this, Alicia also negotiates, reviews and drafts company contracts, including vendor and lease agreements. Alicia manages paralegals and associate counsel. Alicia has brought a majority of legal work in-house to significantly reduce legal costs. Lastly, they manage outside counsel across the country relating to litigation and transactional matters - including the use of negotiated cost controls and billing arrangements - resulting in substantial savings.

Alicia Chandler has a University of Cincinnati College of Law degree from 1999-2002 and a University of Cincinnati Bachelor's degree from 1994-1998.
