Jacob Gelch

Jacob Gelch has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as an Incoming Summer Analyst at Starwood Property Trust since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Head Tutor at First Generation Investors, a non-profit organization that teaches investing to underserved high school students. Jacob was also a member of the Finance Committee, managing chapter finances and fundraising efforts for the organization.

In addition, Jacob was a Founding Member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, where they organized legal professional events and practiced memo writing and mock debates. Jacob also served as a Campus Concerts Committee Member at Duke University Union, involved in planning and organizing on-campus music events.

Furthermore, Jacob gained experience as a Summer FP&A Intern at FinThrive, a revenue management company providing healthcare solutions. Jacob also contributed to the Duke Investment Club as a member. Lastly, they worked as a Summer Legal Intern at VINCENT VACCARELLA, P.A., focusing on representing contractors in the South Florida construction community.

Jacob Gelch attended Western High School from 2016 to 2020, where they earned their High School Diploma. In 2018, they participated in a program called Alexander Muss High School in Israel, although no degree or field of study is specified for this experience. From 2020 to 2024, Jacob is currently studying at Duke University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance. Jacob is expected to graduate in 2024. Additionally, in August 2021, Jacob obtained a certification in Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP.
