Derwin Shelley has over 20 years of work experience in the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition fields. In 2020, they began their current role as Vice President, People Operations at First Help Financial. From 2016 to 2020, they were Director, Talent Acquisition at Aetion. From 2007 to 2016, they held two roles at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence (formerly SilverSky and Perimeter E-Security), first as Vice President, Human Resources, and then as Director, Human Resources. From 2005 to 2007, they were Senior Executive Recruiter & Client Relationship Manager at Allegis Global Solutions (fka InSearch Worldwide). From 2000 to 2005, they were Consultant, Recruiting and Business Development at Curran Partners, Inc.

Derwin Shelley obtained a Bachelor Degree in International Law & Diplomacy from Brigham Young University between 1994 and 2000. Derwin then obtained a Certification in Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Cornell University ILR School in 2017. In addition, they obtained a Strategic Human Resources Leadership certification from Cornell University in January 2017 and a SPHR certification from SHRM in January 2017.
