R. Eugene Taylor

R. EUGENE TAYLOR served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of First Horizon, a position he assumed upon the closing of First Horizon’s acquisition of Capital Bank Financial Corp. (“Capital Bank”), from 2017 until 2020. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Bank from 2009 until 2017. Prior to 2009, Mr. Taylor spent 38 years at Bank of America Corporation, most recently as the Vice Chairman of the firm and President of Global Corporate & Investment Banking. He is a director of one other public company, Sonic Automotive, Inc.
