Phil Spurgeon

Phil Spurgeon is an experienced geologist with a diverse professional background in the mining and resources sector. Currently serving as a Senior Resource Geologist at First Majestic Silver Corp. since May 2016, Phil has held several key positions including Principal Resource Geologist at AMEC and Geology Manager at Bariq Mining Ltd. Phil's career began at McMahon Associates as a Consultant Engineering Geologist, progressing through roles such as Senior Project Geologist at BHP Billiton and Chief Geologist at Lennardshelf Pty Ltd. Phil's educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Mineral Economics from Curtin University, a Master's in Applied Finance from Kaplan Professional, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology from the University of Technology Sydney.
