Armando Ramos Jr. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Armando began their career as a Program Assistant at NGOs for Integrated Protected Areas, Inc. in 2002, followed by a role as a Community Development Worker at Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. Armando then worked as an Environmental Impact Assessment Associate at MANDALA AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION before becoming a Project Assistant at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
In 2004, Armando joined the Department of Environment and Natural Resources as a Senior Environmental Analyst. Armando later transitioned to the Tokyo Electric and Marubeni (TeaM) Energy Corporation, serving as an Environmental Analyst and subsequently as the Head of Occupational Health and Safety.
In 2014, Armando joined Energy Development Corporation as a Safety Specialist, and in 2018, they moved to First Gen Corporation, where they held roles as the Environment and QES Compliance Manager and Manager.
Currently, Armando is working at First Philippine Industrial Park, Inc. as the Head of Environment Safety and Health, after previously serving as the QES Business Partner.

Armando Ramos Jr. has an extensive education history in the field of environmental science and related areas. Armando earned their Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Zoology-Marine Ecology from the University of the Philippines, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, they obtained a Diploma in Environment and Natural Resources Management from the University of the Philippines Open University, completing the program in 2004.
Armando's pursuit of higher education continued, leading him to obtain a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. This advanced degree further enhanced their knowledge and expertise in the field.
In addition to their academic achievements, Armando has also acquired several certifications. Notably, they completed the Applied Sustainability Management in Asia Pacific program at the University of Asia and the Pacific in November 2018. Armando also obtained certification in Global Reporting Initiative Standards for Sustainability Reporting from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in June 2018.
Armando has further expanded their expertise in various aspects of environmental and occupational health and safety. Armando obtained the Managing Head of PCOs certification from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in May 2018. In October 2007, they obtained the Pollution Control Officer (PCO) certification from the same department.
In the realm of occupational health and safety, Armando holds credentials including Accredited Safety Officer from the Department of Energy Philippines, Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner from the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment obtained in April 2019, and Basic Occupational Safety and Health from the same department. Armando has also completed certifications in Construction Occupational Safety and Health, Controlling Workplace Hazards, Health and Safety Practical Application, International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Lead Auditor for ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, Lead Auditor for ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and Management of International Health and Safety. The institutions where they obtained these certifications include NEBOSH and BSI Neville Clarke – A BSI Professional Services Company.
It is worth noting that Armando has also completed the Open Water Diver certification from PADI, showcasing their interest and skill in recreational diving.
