First Principles is a venture capital studio, meaning it is a business creation model where the focus is not just investing in existing startups, but creating new companies internally. Unlike traditional venture capital funds that invest in already established startups, a venture studio works for building startups from scratch, providing resources, expertise, capital and a comprehensive infrastructure to accelerate its development.

I decided to found First Principles because I understood that there are many people with great skills and vision on the product but who are not ready to be startup entrepreneurs with great ambitions, while if supported very assiduously by people with more experience they can quickly make the climb necessary to become fantastic entrepreneurs. For these people, the classic model of creating startups with financing from Venture Capital funds does not work, i.e. it has very high failure rates. 

With First Principles we choose the ideas, work on them together with a team of co-founders until we are convinced that the startup is worth starting, we finance the pre-seed phase and then we actively participate in the construction of the subsequent phases, taking qualified minority shares.

 In particular, the areas in which we work are:

1-Creation of the company 
2-Financing the company with its own resources or with capital increases from external sources
3-Fractional managers on non-core areas of the company with work-for-equity models
4-Operational support on commercial development
5-Product definition
6-Development strategy
7-Continuous coaching of the other co-founders
8-Offices in the pre-seed phase 
9-Presidency of the Board of Directors 

We only invest in companies that have potentially great impact on the world and in co-founders of phenomenal talent and determination. We reduce the risks that can be eliminated by working with the co-founders before founding the company and by managing non-core activities
