Lindsey Backhaus

Lindsey Backhaus is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Deputy Director of Communications for the First Responder Network Authority since May 2017, with previous roles as a Communications Specialist and Operations Manager within the same organization. Prior to this, Lindsey worked as a Senior Consultant at Corner Alliance, Inc. from October 2012 to May 2017, providing strategic communications support for the U.S. government. Lindsey also held a Senior Consultant position at Touchstone Consulting Group, Inc., and SRA International, Inc., where support was provided to various federal, state, and local clients. Earlier experience includes a Publishing Intern role at The Grosvenor Literary Agency and a Writing Tutor position at the University of Maryland Writing Center. Lindsey holds a BA in English and Women's Studies from the University of Maryland, completed in 2006.
