Ian Rumsey

Ian Rumsey has extensive experience in the RF systems industry, starting in 1999 at Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corporation as an RF Engineer. During their time at Ball, they designed and built various advanced antenna technologies.

In 2008, Ian joined FIRST RF Corporation, where they initially worked as a Business Area Lead for Phased Arrays & RF Systems. In this role, they defined technical and business strategies for a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team. Ian later transitioned to the role of Director of Engineering and then Chief Engineer. At FIRST RF, Ian played a crucial role in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge RF systems technologies, including high-performance antenna systems.

Ian Rumsey completed their education in the field of Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. Ian obtained their Concurrent BS/MS degree from 1994 to 1999 and later pursued a PhD between 1999 and 2002 from the same institution.
