Nathan Baltz

Nathan Baltz is a highly experienced Senior Embedded Systems Engineer with current roles at ColdQuanta and FIRST RF Corporation. Since March 2022, Nathan has been involved in developing embedded firmware and controls for quantum sensing and processing instruments at ColdQuanta, while at FIRST RF Corporation, Nathan specializes in high-speed layout and schematic designs, as well as algorithm and firmware development for novel antenna systems. Previous experience includes a Lead Electrical Engineer position at In-Situ, where Nathan led the design of mixed-signal PCB for water sensors and agile embedded development of low power DSP sensor firmware. Nathan also founded TauTheta Instruments LLC, creating a Multi-Frequency Phase Fluorometer for biotech, and has held various engineering and research roles at PhotoSense, Data Fusion Corporation, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and Texas Instruments. Nathan holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering focused on Digital Signal Processing and Controls from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
