The Collibra Architect Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise level Data Governance and Metadata Management solutions leveraging Collibra. This is a business and technical facing lead role accountable for developing a strategy and design within Collibra to meet identified and prioritized use cases and promote adoption and expansion through orientation and training. They must deliver comprehensive, extensible, and industry best practice designs and supporting documentation which support current business and technical requirements, while promoting expansion of stewardship leveraging the tool.   

First San Francisco Partners is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Collibra Architect Consulting role. This role will be responsible for assessing data management environments and governance capabilities to make data actionable for the business and to turn information into value, at a compensation of $110,000 - $139,000. 

What You'll be Doing:  

  • Provide thought leadership, frameworks, best practices and subject matter expertise in Collibra required to deliver effective Data Governance and Management solutions to our Clients.   
  • Conduct or participate in meetings, workshops and interviews with business and IT stakeholders to understand current state Data Governance and Management maturity and pain points in support of building a future state Collibra strategy and roadmap   
  • Identify, document, and prioritize Collibra use cases that will support the strategy and roadmap.   
  • Translate business and technical requirements into Collibra designs, oversee the implementation and validate outcome with users.   
  • Support establishing a Collibra operating model aligned with a data governance operating model.  
  • Assess, recommend, and implement capabilities related to business and technical metadata, data lineage, data profiling, data quality improvement efforts, and issue/request management in Collibra.  
  • Develops and delivers metagovernance recommendations   
  • Designs automated and bulk upload metadata import/export methods   
  • Develops and delivers training materials, use case and asset model documentation, as well as implementation specification   
  • Recommends curation processes for high quality content in Collibra    
  • Provides recommendations for leveraging full functionality of Collibra platform (workflow, lineage diagrams, UI, dashboards, views, etc.)  

 What You Should Have: 

  • Collibra Ranger or Solution Architect certification  
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) is a plus  
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of data management experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance and data management concepts, approaches, and tools and the role of data governance in the successful implementation of data strategy
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills   
  • Ability to explain the value of Collibra and data governance to both business and technical stakeholders.  
  • Ability to analyze complex environments, distill concepts and present to clients.   
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.   
  • Must be able to travel to client sites

This range is based on our market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity and candidate qualifications, such as skills, experience and education.
