Catherine Lunde

Catherine Lunde, MSE, BSME, has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the automotive and energy industries. Catherine is currently serving as the Director of Global Quality at First Solar since 2024. Previously, they worked at Foxconn D Group as the Director of Quality, where they were responsible for creating and implementing an Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Quality Operating System. Catherine also achieved ISO 9001 and MAQMSR certification. Before that, they worked at Lordstown Motors Corporation as the Director of Supplier Quality, overseeing the launch of new designs for supplier parts on the Endurance electric work truck.

Prior to their roles at Lordstown Motors Corporation and Foxconn D Group, Catherine worked at DTE Energy as Operational Excellence & Agile Manager from 2019 to 2022. Catherine also had a long tenure at Ford Motor Company, where they held various positions, including Global Chief Engineer, Powertrain New Model Programs, Global Prototype Manager, Vehicle & Powertrain, Global Mfg Quality Manager, New Model Programs Vehicle Launch Manager, and Manufacturing Engineering Leader. In these roles, they led numerous vehicle launches, managed cross-functional teams, and developed global quality strategies and standards.

Catherine's expertise lies in quality management, supplier quality, new model launches, manufacturing engineering, and operational excellence. Catherine has a strong track record of delivering programs on-time with high quality and improving operational efficiency.

Catherine Lunde holds a Master of Engineering degree from Purdue University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Before that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology from 1988 to 1993. In addition, they have a Green Belt Certification from Ford Motor Company, although the specific time of obtaining this certification is not provided.
