Kathrin Theelen

Kathrin Theelen is an experienced professional in the solar energy and manufacturing sectors, currently serving as Operations Manager at First Solar since December 2023. With a strong background in solar technology, Theelen co-founded Evolar AB, where innovations in tandem solar cells were developed, and held board positions at the European Solar Manufacturing Council and Solibro, a leading CIGS thin-film solar module manufacturer. Prior experience includes roles at Fresenius Kabi, where responsibilities encompassed production management and project leadership, and research positions at renowned institutions such as The University of British Columbia and RWTH Aachen University. Theelen holds a Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering and has further qualifications as an ICF certified coach.
