Charles Derby has a strong background in the banking industry, with over 20 years of experience. Charles started their career in 1992 at the Office of the State Bank Commissioner as a Bank Examiner and later became a Field Office Supervisor until 1999. Charles then joined Central National Bank and held the position of President - Lawrence and NE KS Regional Director for 13 years. In 2012, they moved to First State Bank & Trust as the President - Lawrence, where they currently work.
Charles Derby attended Pittsburg State University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance. Charles then went on to study at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado from 1997 to 1999, where they received a Diploma of Graduation with Special Honors for being ranked first in their class. No specific field of study was provided for their graduate school experience.
