Kellie Brownlow

Kellie Brownlow is the current VP of Development & Community Relations at First Step Staffing. Kellie has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on youth development. Kellie has a proven track record in fundraising, program management, and community engagement.

Before joining First Step Staffing, Kellie was the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Georgia State Alliance. In this role, they oversaw a $24M partnership with the Georgia Department of Children and Families to provide after school learning opportunities to 16,000 disadvantaged youth annually. Kellie also developed and executed a 5-year Strategic plan, which included an organizational restructuring and streamlining of processes to meet contract program objectives within tight budgetary and compliance constraints.

During their time at the Boys & Girls Club of Georgia, Kellie was an active advocate for youth development policies at the state and federal level. Kellie also oversaw all external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives. In addition, Kellie implemented targeted fundraising strategies to diversify revenue streams and secure $1.5M of additional support from private, public, and nonprofit sources.

Since joining First Step Staffing, Kellie has continued their work in community engagement and advocacy. Kellie has been instrumental in increasing the organization's profile and program engagement through a comprehensive multi-media marketing and outreach strategy. Kellie is also a frequent speaker on planning projects and collaborative growth initiatives throughout the state of Georgia.

Kellie Brownlow has a Masters in Public Administration from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Political Science from Rhode Island College.
