Richard Scott Newton

Richard Scott Newton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Richard Scott currently serves as the Director of Risk Finance at First Student since April 2022. Previously, they worked at Covenant Transport Services from 2011 to 2022, holding various roles including Manager of Enterprise Risk, Senior Risk Analyst, and Risk Analyst. Richard Scott also worked as an Insurance Analyst Temp at the same company. Prior to that, Richard worked as a Pre-Calculus Tutor, helping high school students improve their test scores and grades. Richard Scott also had experience as an Entrepreneurial E-Business owner, where they created an e-business, developed marketing strategies, and maintained customer satisfaction. Additionally, Richard was a Basketball Player for the Bryan College Men's Basketball Team, gaining leadership skills and achieving honors. Richard Scott also worked as a Camp Counselor at Belmont University, Lipscomb University, and Cedar Tree Day Camp, as well as a Landscaper at Picture Perfect Landscaping, LLC.

Richard Scott Newton attended Bryan College from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a B.A in Mathematics. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they completed their highest ranking at Harpeth High School. In addition, they have obtained a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) certification from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research in September 2019.
