Kasandra (Zweig) Tenbarge, CFRM, currently serves as the Associate Director at First Things First Porter County, starting in September 2024. Previously held the role of Major Gifts Officer at Valparaiso University from December 2023 to September 2024. With extensive experience at United Way Northwest Indiana from August 2017 to December 2023, Kasandra fulfilled various roles including Vice President of Individual Philanthropy, Chief Development Officer, Senior Director of Development, and Director of Development. Early career positions included Media Consultant at The Times of Northwest Indiana, Program and Outreach Administrator at Purdue University Calumet's Water Institute, Manager at Lakeshore Area Regional Recovery of Indiana, Assistant Director of Career Development at The Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and Center Director at SCORE! Educational Centers. Kasandra holds a B.A. in Communication and Culture from Indiana University Bloomington, a certificate in Crisis Management from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and a recent Leadership and Management certificate, as well as a CFRM certification in Fundraising Management.
