Michael Albers is an experienced banking and real estate professional with a strong background in asset management and economic development. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Special Assets Manager at First United Bank Texas since January 2019, Albers previously worked at the FDIC as Contract Oversight Manager, overseeing asset liquidation processes. Albers founded Albers Real Estate Services, offering commercial mortgage and real estate brokerage services, and held key positions at First Horizon Construction Lending and First Heritage Bank, where substantial loan origination achievements were made. Albers also directed the Economic Development Department for the City of Albuquerque, coordinating incentives for new employers. As President and CEO of Bank 1st, Albers successfully transformed a troubled bank into a profitable institution.
