Matt Presley

Matt Presley has extensive experience in the banking and lending industry. Matt served as the SLG Director of Administration and VP at FirstBank starting in November 2021. In this role, they acted as in-house counsel and served on the division's executive leadership team. Prior to that, they worked at Clayton Bank & Trust, where they held the position of Assistant General Counsel from March 2015 to August 2017. During their time at Clayton Bank, they gained valuable experience in various legal matters, including client-related issues, CFPB complaints, asset recoveries, loan workouts, and title issues. Before that, they served as a Legal Specialist at Clayton Bank, where they managed title work for consumer real estate lending and developed the bank's Third-Party Vendor Management system. Matt Presley earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Marketing and Logistics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2009. Matt then attended the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University from 2009 to 2010, where they pursued and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Following this, Matt attended the University of Tennessee College of Law from 2010 to 2012, where they completed their Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in Law. In 2015, they obtained the certification of Attorney at Law from the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Prior to their higher education, Matt earned a High School Diploma from Farragut High School in 2005.
