Derek Huddleston is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human resources and operations management. Currently serving as Chief of Staff - Human Resource Services at FirstDay Foundation since May 2022, Derek oversees HR strategies and initiatives, supports the Executive Vice President, and manages overall HR operations. Previously, as the Director of Project Management - HR Operations, Derek led projects related to workforce management. Derek's earlier roles include Sr. Director of Operations at Mission Pharmacal, where oversight was provided for multiple divisions and product pricing, Head Athletic Trainer at Winston Churchill High School, focusing on athlete healthcare, and Program Director/Camp Director at Girl Scouts of Central Texas, managing a large outdoor program facility. Derek holds an MBA from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sports Science with a focus on Athletic Training from Texas State University.
