Brent Coakley

Brent Coakley is an experienced Director of Operations at FirstEnergy, overseeing substation operations for the Illuminating Company, Ohio Edison, and Toledo Edison since July 2005. Coakley manages a large workforce and significant budgets, ensuring safe work practices and effective operations across multiple departments including substation, distribution line, and underground network services. Responsibilities have included the maintenance of one of the largest underground ducted systems in the U.S., as well as managing operations for substations up to 500kV transmission. Brent Coakley's background also includes service in the United States Air Force as an Airborne Communications Technician. Coakley holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Youngstown State University.
