Rich Sweeney

Rich Sweeney is an experienced professional in supply chain management, currently serving as Vice President of Supply Chain at FirstEnergy since August 2021. Prior to this role, Rich held the position of Regional President at Toledo Edison Company from February 2015 to July 2021. Rich's tenure at FirstEnergy also includes roles such as Director of Operations Support and Manager of Supply Chain Generation Sourcing, where responsibilities included strategic purchasing and operational support for fossil plants. Rich has an extensive background in strategic sourcing, having led teams in both corporate services and data center operations. Rich holds an Executive MBA from Kent State University and a Master of Arts in German Translation from the same institution.
