Laura Hodakievic

Laura Hodakievic, LSW, is an experienced social worker currently serving as a Senior Community Resource Guide at firsthand since October 2022, specializing in helping individuals access essential resources such as housing, utility assistance, clothing, and food. Previously, Laura worked at the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services from October 2018 to October 2022, focusing on investigating allegations of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, and medical neglect, including conducting forensic interviews and coordinating with law enforcement. Laura's early career included roles as a Student Community Manager and Student Manager at The Ohio State University, where responsibilities involved fostering community among dining services employees. Additionally, Laura interned at The Salvation Army in anti-human trafficking case management and served as a marketing and enrollment specialist at Invictus High School. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a minor in Substance Misuse and Addiction from The Ohio State University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Arizona State University.
