Dana K. has a diverse work experience, starting in 2006 as an In and Outprocessing Clerk at USAG Heidelberg, where they welcomed and assisted incoming soldiers and their families. Dana later became a Team Lead at the Reassignments Work Center, where they conducted briefings and processed military/reassignment orders. In 2009, they served as an FRG Leader for the 82nd Airborne DIV DSTB PMO. Dana then pursued a career in healthcare, starting as an LPN Nursing Student at FTCC in 2011. Dana went on to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation and as a Staff Nurse at Westfield Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. In 2014, they became a student at Methodist University, and in 2017, they transitioned to a Registered Nurse role at Cape Fear Valley Health System. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Oncology Nurse at First Health of The Carolinas, before taking on their current position as an Epic Instructional Designer/ Principal Trainer at FirstHealth of the Carolinas in 2021.

Dana K. completed a Master of Science (M.S.N) degree in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University in 2020. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Nursing Science from Methodist University from 2014 to 2017. Dana also holds an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Cell Biology and Anatomy from Central Carolina Community College (2012-2014) and a Diploma in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training from Fayetteville Technical Community College (2009-2012). In 2011, they obtained their GED from Sandhills Community College, and in 1998, they completed their Realschulabschluss from Staatliche Realschule Amberg. Additionally, Dana K. holds certifications as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (obtained in December 2020) and has a Chemotherapy Provider Card from ONS.
