Serving the El Paso, Fort Bliss, and Las Cruces communities in Texas and New Mexico, our hard-charging cooperative has a simple purpose— “Improve lives. Achieve dreams.”—and our growing financial institution has been doing this for 66 years! With over $1.4 billion in assets, our 350+employees understand it takes excellence, it takes relationship building, it takes ownership, and it takes everyone! Do we work hard? Absolutely! But we are motivated to deliver the best member experience through our ‘darn, nice people’ and latest technology—providing our members working alternatives to bank when they want, not when they have too. And oh yea, we love building relationships with local businesses, school districts, and universities too. In fact, the Credit Union is offering an affinity card with New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!), and recently opened a satellite, self-service technology office at Texas Tech University Health Science Center—El Paso. Our diverse team is a part of the respective communities we serve—serving in many leadership roles like the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, and Boys and Girls Club. And through our very own FirstLight Community Foundation, we actively deliver financial wellness programs. In addition, with every funded FirstLight loan, one dollar goes toward the El Pasoan’s Fighting Hunger and Casa de Peregrinos food banks. Our goal is to have an impact on one million families in the next ten years.
