Michael Mehring

Michael Mehring is an experienced financial executive with a strong background in risk management and internal audit. Currently serving as VP of Risk at FirstLight Federal Credit Union since December 2017, Michael oversees risk management activities for a $1.1 billion credit union operating in Texas and New Mexico. Previously held the position of Vice President and Head of Retail Credit Review at Capital One, where responsibilities included risk-based assurance of the retail credit portfolio. Michael also worked at Citigroup as Director of Audit and Risk Review, leading consumer bank coverage in Europe and the Middle East, and has held various financial roles at Technicolor, ALL Student Loan, Glendale Federal, and Taft Entertainment. Michael holds a BS in Accounting from California State University, Northridge.
