John Melas-Kyriazi

John Melas-Kyriazi is a versatile entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in venture capital and technology. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Standard Metrics since 2020, John leads the automation of portfolio reporting for VC teams. Additional roles include being an Angel Investor at MK Investments, advising for 8VC, and participating in First Round Capital's Fall 2023 Angel Track cohort. From 2014 to 2020, John was an Investor at Spark Capital, where significant investments and sourced deals included Clipboard Health and Andela. Earlier in the career, John served as CFO and Head of Business Development at StartX, and worked as an Applied Physics Researcher at Stanford University. John holds an M.S. and a B.S. with Honors in Materials Science & Engineering and Engineering Physics, respectively, from Stanford University.
