Charlie Trickey has been working in the advertising industry since 2016. Charlie began their career as an Account Planner & Researcher at AdZou, followed by a Graduate Account Planning Intern role at BBDO Atlanta. In 2017, they became Self-employed as a Brand Consultant + Freelance Director of Brand & Cultural Strategy, working with clients such as Activision, Spotify, Netflix, Listerine, General Motors, GM Future Roads, Fishbowl, County of Los Angeles Public Health, and Cox Communications. Charlie also worked with agencies such as Giant Spoon, AKQA, zwolf strategy, McCann, Doner, Space 150, Battery, and Sid Lee. In 2019, they took on the role of Strategy Director at c0ffe3, followed by a Strategist role at Sid Lee in 2018. In 2020, they became a Senior Strategist at both Giant Spoon and zwolf strategy, as well as a Community Leader at Fishbowl. In 2021, they joined Doner as an Associate Strategy Director and Senior Brand Strategist, and AKQA as a Senior Brand & Creative Strategist.

Charlie Trickey holds a Master of Science in Business and Advertising Strategy from VCU Brandcenter and a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In addition, they have obtained an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM in December of 2019.
