Anand Ganesh Venkatesan is a highly specialized professional with extensive experience in biocompatibility and toxicology within the medical device sector. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare since November 2021, Anand formulates biocompatibility testing strategies and toxicological risk assessments for respiratory devices. Prior to this role, Anand worked at HOYA Surgical Optics as a Biocompatibility Subject Matter Expert, focusing on Class III medical implants. Anand’s research background includes a SMART Scholar Fellowship at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology, and postdoctoral work at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, emphasizing bacterial adhesion resistant and smart functional surfaces.
