Fishers Area Swimming Tigers
Steve Sanchez began swimming competitively at the age of 8 for the Delta Waves under Craig Carson in Antioch, CA. He also swam at CPH, which is now the Terrapins Swim Team, under Ray Mitchell. While a part of these programs, Steve was ranked nationally in the Top 16 and received numerous Pacific Swimming Swimmer of the Year awards. Steve ended his competitive swimming career as a member of the Indiana University Men’s swim team.
Steve coached age group swimming throughout his career and joined the FAST Tigers staff in 2009. Since taking over the 10 & Under program at FAST, Steve has developed our youngest athletes into one of the best 10 & Under groups in the state. His swimmers continually rank Top 8 in the state and zone. Steve's hard work with the 10 & Unders was rewarded as he was voted Indiana Developmental Coach of the Year in 2014 & 2019.
Away from the pool, Steve lives in Fishers with his wife, Beth, and two sons, Jonah and Sam.

Founded in 2006, the Fishers Area Swimming Tigers is a 501(c)(3) organization that is based out of the state-of-the-art Fishers High School Natatorium located at 13000 Promise Road, Fishers, Indiana 46038. FAST has quickly become one of the best clubs in the state of Indiana and in the Midwest. In 2009 FAST recorded its first top 5 placing at the Indiana Age Group State Championships by finishing 3rd place at both short course and long course state meets, in just its third year of existence. The following year, FAST followed up those performances by placing 2nd at the 2010 Indiana Age Group Short Course State Championships. At the 2010 Long Course Championships, FAST dominated the competition and became the best age group team in the State of Indiana by winning our first state title! FAST has continued to be one of the best age group programs in the state by placing no lower than 3rd at the Indiana State Age Group Championships. FAST has accomplished this feat by developing athletes with their long-term success in mind and promoting a fun, friendly, and safe environment for athletes to grow.
