Sami Kylmänen

Sami Kylmänen has over 20 years of work experience in various legal roles. Sami started their career as a Legal Counsel at JOT Automation in 1999 and worked there for 7 years. Sami then joined EB, Elektrobit as a Senior Legal Counsel in 2006, where they managed legal affairs and implemented intellectual property and open source strategies. In 2013, they started their own legal consultancy firm, SKYlex, where they provided legal services to clients, including reviewing contracts and advising on legal matters. In 2016, they joined Fiskars as a Senior Legal Counsel and later became the Director of Legal.

Sami Kylmänen completed their Master of Laws degree in Law at the University of Lapland from 1993 to 2005. Sami also studied Human Rights and Intellectual Property Rights at Utrecht University from 1997 to 1998.
