Brian Knapp

Brian Knapp is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in corporate banking and credit risk management. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Energy Business Development at Fitch Ratings since June 2020, Brian previously held the position of Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., focusing on Oil & Gas Corporate and Investment Banking. Brian's extensive background includes roles as Vice President in Credit Risk Management at JPMorgan Chase, as well as positions at RBS Sempra Commodities, Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley. Brian holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and an A.B. in Government & Legal Studies from Bowdoin College, along with a high school diploma from Leysin American School in Switzerland.
