Nicola Barrocu

Nicola Barrocu has a diverse and extensive work experience. They currently work at Fitch Ratings as a Lead Software Engineer. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Developer at the same company. Before joining Fitch Ratings, Nicola worked at Quantica Corp. as a Consultant, President, and Founder, where they were involved in various projects related to custom application development, data analytics, algorithms, and modeling. They also have experience as a Senior Application Developer at Citi, where they developed a proprietary scripting language and implemented a new front-end interface for financial analysis. In addition, Nicola served as the GM of US Logistics and Analytics at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, where they were responsible for planning, strategy, and execution of logistics operations. They also worked as an IT Engineer and Consultant at Euroconsult Corporation and in Quality Control and Manufacturing at PGM S.p.a.

Nicola Barrocu completed their education in a chronological order. From 1991 to 2002, they pursued a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering at Università degli Studi di Cagliari. In 2002, they attended Columbia University as a Visiting Scholar in the Ph.D. Group, focusing on DARPA-sponsored Photonic Engineering Research. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Engineer certification from Ordine degli Ingegneri di Cagliari in 2003. In 2019, they acquired a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
