Kim Hurwitz has over 20 years of experience in marketing, PR, partnerships, branding, and content. In 1992, they began their career as a Regional Marketing Manager for TCI in southern California and Arizona. Kim then moved to Adelphia Cable, where they were the Regional Product Marketing Manager from 1999 to 2000. In 2000, they joined DIRECTV as the Director of Marketing, where they were responsible for a $500M P&L and oversaw PPV movies, events, adult and subscription and niche products. Kim then became the National Director of Affiliate Relations for The Tube Music Network in 2006, where they managed OTA and digital cable launches, growing total TV household reach from 2 to 17 million cable homes. In 2008, they were the Vice President of Marketing, Publicity and Distribution for MWG Media, where they created marketing, distribution, branding, and publicity plans. In 2009, they were a Sr. Manager of Marketing for DIRECTV, where they oversaw national marketing and communications strategies. In 2017, they became the Chief Marketing Officer for Karate Combat, where they ideated with the founders the brand and value proposition. Finally, in 2019, they became the Chief Marketing Officer for FITE, where they oversaw marketing, PR, partnerships, affiliate and branding.
Kim Hurwitz has a background in theater arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and attended Granada Hills Charter. Additionally, Kim has obtained certifications in GDPR for Marketers from LinkedIn in July 2018, a Sho-dan (1st Degree) Black Belt in Shotokan Karate from the United International Martial Arts Federation in February 2017, and an Emergency Medical Technician I from the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools & Colleges (ACS WASC).
