Sophie Jest is an experienced lawyer currently serving as the Acting Managing Lawyer for the Women’s Integrated Legal Outreach (WILO) Program at Fitzroy Legal Service, where management of integrated legal and social work support for criminalised individuals with complex needs is a primary focus. Previously, Sophie held the position of Senior Community Outreach Lawyer with the St Vincent's Health Justice Partnership, providing holistic legal services to clients in collaboration with case coordinators. Sophie's career includes roles as a Senior Lawyer at Victoria Legal Aid specializing in mental health and disability law, as well as various judicial associate positions in the Family Court of Australia, where responsibilities included managing judicial dockets and conducting legal research. Sophie completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at The College of Law Australia and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French from The University of Queensland.
