Helen Weston's work experience includes founding and managing Mobile Rehab Australia since 1996. Helen currently serves as a Non-Executive Director for Five Good Friends starting in 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Allied Health Acute Care Supervisor at Boston University Medical Centre Hospital from March 1991 to March 1995. At the same time, they also worked as a Physical Therapist for Boston Community Medical Group, providing home-based rehabilitation. In 1993, Helen was an Associate Lecturer at Northeastern University. Helen began their career as a Physiotherapist at Harley Street Clinic in London from September 1987 to January 1991, where they managed a complex clinical caseload. Before that, they worked as a Physiotherapist at Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane from October 1985 to May 1987.

Helen Weston began their education in 1976 at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. From 1977 to 1980, they attended Fairholme College Toowoomba, again without specifying a degree or field of study. In 1981, Helen Weston enrolled at The University of Queensland and completed their Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy in 1984. After a significant gap, they returned to their education in 2005 and attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2005 to 2009 to obtain their Master's degree in Business Administration.
