Maria Sarkissian

Maria Sarkissian is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as Community Controller at FivePoint Communities since September 2016, Maria has previously held key roles at The New Home Company Inc. as Senior Financial Accountant and Treasury Manager and Senior Project Accountant. Maria's background also includes work as Auditor II for the City of Los Angeles, where expertise in tax audits was demonstrated. Early career experience includes an undergraduate internship at The Walt Disney Company, where fundamental skills in financial statement preparation were developed, and coordinating tax preparation services for low-income individuals with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). Maria holds a B.S. in Accountancy from California State University, Northridge, obtained in 2005.
