Sandy Merritt, CRCM has extensive experience in compliance management and regulatory affairs. Sandy is currently working as the SVP, Director of Compliance Management at Five Star Bank - California, a role they started in November 2021. Sandy'sprevious experience includes roles such as VP, Director of Compliance Management at Five Star Bank - California from August 2020 to November 2021, and FVP, Sr. Compliance & CRA Officer at Opus Bank from September 2017 to November 2021. Sandy has also held positions at other financial institutions such as MUFG Union Bank, OneWest Bank, FSB, The Private Bank of California, First California Bank, and California Oaks State Bank, where they gained expertise in compliance risk assessment, regulatory control, and managing compliance programs.

Sandy Merritt, CRCM, has a comprehensive education and certification background in Compliance and Risk Management. In 2008, Sandy attended the ABA National Compliance School, where they focused on Compliance studies. Additionally, in the same year, Sandy obtained the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification from the Institute of Certified Bankers. This certification demonstrates their expertise in regulatory compliance management. In 2011, Sandy attended the ABA Graduate School of Compliance Risk Management, further expanding their knowledge in the field.
