Ben Protas

Ben Protas has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ben started their career as a Steel Tile Installation Foreman at Cal Pac Roofing from 1990 to 1995. Ben then worked as an MDU RF Designer at Kelly Cable Corp from 1995 to 1997, where they were responsible for proposing cable system upgrades to building owners and designing new cable systems. Ben also worked at Sprint as a CMI Maintenance Tech from 1997 to 1998. At Watchlight Corporation, they served as an Operations Manager from 1998 to 2000, overseeing day-to-day operations and designing and building Cox OSP for San Diego. Currently, they are the CEO and Director of Operations at Five Star Communications since 2000.

Ben Protas attended Grossmont College from 1987 to 1989, where they studied Real Estate Development. In addition to their college education, they have obtained a General Engineering Contractor (Class A) certification from the Contractors State License Board in 2007, a Low voltage certification in 2000, and is also in the process of obtaining a General Building Contractor (Class B) certification.
