Janade Du Plessis

Janade Du Plessis is a General Partner at Five35 Ventures. Prior to this, they were a Fund Manager at Launch Africa Ventures and Five35 Ventures, where they oversaw the investments of both firms. Before that, they were the Founder and Chief Executive of Abrazo Capital, a venture capital firm that invest in early stage companies in Africa.

Du Plessis has also worked as the Head of Venture Capital & Alternative Investments at Nedbank Investment Bank and as a Fund Manager at Goldman Sachs. Janade started their career as a Corporate Finance Transactor at Rand Merchant Bank.

Du Plessis has a long history of working in the financial sector in Africa. Janade is a well-respected figure in the industry, with a deep understanding of the African market.

Janade Du Plessis has attended Harvard Business School, where they completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP 200) in 2021. Janade has also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the Cape Town, as well as a Masters in Commerce from the University of the Western Cape. Janade is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Science from Wits Business School.
