Deanna Sumrein

Deanna Sumrein is an experienced professional in human resources and employee benefits, currently serving as an Employee Benefits Specialist at Flagship Pioneering since November 2021, after previously holding the role of Payroll and Benefits Specialist. Prior to this, Deanna worked at Cygnal Therapeutics as a Human Resources Generalist focusing on talent acquisition and operations from May 2019 to October 2021. Deanna also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Brown University School of Public Health and held various positions, including Data Analyst and Strategy Intern at Hackensack Meridian Health and Research Project Coordinator Intern at CareLink Collaborative. Initial roles included Teller I at TD and Linguistics Teaching Assistant at William Paterson University, among other office management and operational roles. Deanna holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Cognitive Science from Brown University, after completing studies at William Paterson University of New Jersey and Wayne Valley High School.
