Marie Yurkovich

Marie Yurkovich, PhD, currently serves as an Operating Principal on the venture creation team at Flagship Pioneering, a position held since September 2022, after previously being a Senior Associate on the same team. Prior to Flagship Pioneering, Marie was the VP, Head of Strategy and Operations at Oak Hill Bio, focusing on therapeutics for rare diseases. Experience also includes roles as Venture Lead and Board Member at Oviva Therapeutics, Venture Director at Cambrian Biopharma, and as part of the investment team at Vectr Ventures. Earlier career highlights include strategy consulting at ZS and supervising undergraduate students at the University of Cambridge, where Marie earned a PhD and an MPhil in Biochemistry. Educational background also features a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta.
