Max Distler

Max Distler, PhD, currently serves as an Associate at Flagship Pioneering as of October 2023. Previously, Max held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2022 to October 2023, while also being recognized as an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow. Prior to this, Max was a Flagship Pioneering Fellow during the summer of 2023 and completed a PhD in Chemistry at Northwestern University from 2018 to August 2022, where Max also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant. During the undergraduate years at Wesleyan University, Max was a Research Assistant focusing on Catalytic Nanoparticle Formation and served as a Department of Student Affairs Academic Peer Advisor and Admissions Department Tour Guide. Additional experience includes research internships at Hackensack University Medical Center and the Neurological Institute of Columbia University Medical Center, gaining significant exposure to medical research and clinical environments.
