Olivia Viessmann

Olivia Viessmann is a Principal Machine Learning Scientist at Flagship Pioneering since October 2021, involved in innovative projects in generative modeling, and previously served as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist working on ML methods for new ventures. Prior to this role, Olivia was a Machine Learning Researcher at FL74 Inc. developing methods to analyze scientific literature and contributed to the editorial board of Data in Brief while managing the review process of biomedical data set publications. Olivia has extensive experience as a Research Fellow at both Harvard Medical School, focusing on neuroimaging and machine learning in functional magnetic resonance imaging, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Academic credentials include a PhD in MR Physics and Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, an MS in Physics from Imperial College London, and a BS in Physics from Heidelberg University.
